[ August/September Newsletter ]

To Our Brethren and Friends in Yahshua,

We greet you in Yahweh’s Name and say: SHALOM ALEIKHEM! It is our prayer that all is well with you and yours.

We send our Philadelphia love and concern for you all. As Almighty Yahweh is truly moving on behalf of His people, we offer Him our prayers of thanksgiving and praise daily. Yahweh is with those who fear Him and who think on His Holy Name. How wonderful it is to visit with those who love Yahweh concerning the faith we share. Together as a family, we look to Him to spare us in the difficult times that are ahead. “Then those who feared Yahweh talked with each other, and Yahweh listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared Yahweh and honored his name. ‘They will be mine,’ says Yahweh Almighty, ‘in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve Elohim and those who do not.’” (Malachi 3:16-18; NIV)

It has been truly thrilling to see how YPTC is progressing. Just as Israel in the wilderness followed the pillar of cloud by day and of fire by night, so we have endeavored to follow Yahweh’s lead in all things. Yahshua has shown us that those who are born anew in the Holy Spirit of Yahweh will strive to go in the direction that His Spirit leads. “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8; NIV) There are many times when our walk down the narrow pathway that leads to life has twists and turns that we must endure. It is impossible for us to completely anticipate what is ahead, and so we must rely upon Yahweh to guide us every step of the way. His Holy Spirit, as our comforter, is the Spirit of Truth. As we remain in that truth, we will gain more of the Spirit of remembrance to lead us into a greater and more complete faith.

Since we are so close to Yahweh’s seventh month feast days, we are combining the August and September issues. As soon as the seventh month new moon is sighted and sanctified, we will be sending out a special letter announcing the beginning of this important month and supplying any additional information that needs to be covered prior to FOT.

Preparing for the Sixth Month

For those of us who are spiritually minded, there is great significance to be found in the observance of Yahweh’s annual holy days. Their observance presents us with a series of lessons that are meant to ready us for future events including the Kingdom of Yahweh.

As we look ahead to the new moon of the sixth month, there are a number of important things to consider. The sixth month, like the sixth day of the week, is a time of preparation for Yahweh’s commanded holy convocations (Leviticus 23:2). Physically, we make ourselves ready to observe Yahweh’s seventh month holy days by performing the tasks necessary to properly keep these feast days. More importantly, we spiritually prepare to follow the principles of Psalm 24: 1-6 and Psalm 15 by cleansing ourselves within in preparation for a holy meeting with Yahweh and Yahshua.

The spiritual aspect of approaching Yahweh with clean hands and a pure heart must be fulfilled if we are to meet and dwell with Him on His holy hill. The positive changes we make in our lives are part of this conversion process. It is vital for us to access our spiritual condition and make the appropriate changes necessary if we are to successfully draw closer to Yahweh. By keeping His commandments and observing His holy days properly, the changes they effect within each of us have provided the means for His people to know Him in a very personal way.

Having a personal relationship with Yahweh is dependent upon observing Torah wholeheartedly, with genuine love for His Word. “We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, ‘I know him,’ but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, Yahweh’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Yahshua did.” (1 John 2:3-6; NIV) “This is love for Yahweh: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.” (1 John 5:3; NIV)

We must begin immediately to draw closer to Yahweh by exhibiting the attitude of a broken and contrite heart and spirit (Psalm 51:17). This will prepare us to properly observe Yahweh’s seventh month feast days. It is the responsibility of each of us to be ready to ascend the hill of Yahweh and offer pure worship to Him. “Who may ascend the hill of Yahweh? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from Yahweh and vindication from El his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O Elohim of Jacob.” (Ps 24:3-6; NIV)

In addition, the sixth month is also a time of testing. It points to the great tribulation when all the people of this earth will be subjected to severe trials and distress unlike anything that has ever been. “For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now — and never to be equaled again.” (Matthew 24:21; NIV)

Ultimately, this shall bring forth the culmination of the age of man, and Yahshua will return at the sound of the last trumpet and establish Yahweh’s Kingdom on this earth, which is the prophetic fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets. At that time, the elect of Yahweh will be joined with Yahshua in His Kingdom. “Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” (Matthew 24:29-31; NIV)

As we prepare for the seventh month feast days, the difficulties we encounter now are pretests for the final trials we may have to endure at the end of the age.

Feast Days of the Seventh Month

There is a spiritual and a prophetic significance to be found in the observance of the seventh month feast days. The Feast of Trumpets signals Yahweh’s people to begin the ten days of introspection and repentance that conclude on the Day of Atonement. During this time, we look into the deep recesses of our hearts and minds, to discover and purge any hidden sin, and make sure that Yahweh’s Covenant Law abides within us. As commanded, we observe the Day of Atonement with a total fast as we remember the atoning sacrifice of our Savior, Yahshua. However, when the marriage supper of the Lamb occurs, the awesomeness of this most holy day shall be turned into joy and the prophetic significance (the at-one-ment with Yahweh) shall be fulfilled. Yahshua referenced this prophetic event when He stated to His disciples at the last Passover observance that He would not drink the fruit of the vine until Yahweh’s Kingdom comes (Luke 22:18). That will be fulfilled at the marriage supper of the Lamb. “Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: ‘Hallelujah! For our Sovereign El Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!’ For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear. (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Then the angel said to me, ‘Write: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of Yahweh.’” (Revelation 19:6-9; NIV)

With the sounding of the trumpet heralding the end of the Day of Atonement, our attention turns to the Feast of Tabernacles observance (Numbers 10:8-10; Leviticus 25:9). This magnificent feast is observed for seven days and represents the coming Kingdom of Yahweh (Leviticus 23:39-43). This is immediately followed by the high holy day known as the “Last Great Day,” an eighth day observance that points toward the period described in Revelation chapters 21-22. This feast points to a glorious new beginning, when Yahweh’s tabernacle is with men. How wonderful it is that we are blessed with the privilege of celebrating these feast days now in anticipation of their ultimate fulfillment to come.

With the sanctification of the Feast of Trumpets new moon, the feast days of the seventh scriptural month are anticipated to be as follows:

Feast of TrumpetsSeptember 24, 2006
Day of AtonementOctober 3, 2006
1st High Day of Feast of TabernaclesOctober 8, 2006
Last Great DayOctober 15, 2006

We invite all sincere believers of Yahweh’s Truth to observe His commanded holy days. If you are considering keeping these holy days with YPTC, please contact us immediately for more information.

Proclaiming the Good News of Yahweh’s Kingdom

With each passing day, we draw closer to the return of our Savior and the establishment of the Kingdom of Yahweh upon this earth. When Yahshua taught His disciples (then and now) to pray He said: “Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9-10; NASU)

That kingdom will be based upon the government of Yahweh’s Torah. It is our responsibility to prepare ourselves for that coming kingdom by striving to obey in all righteousness. Yahshua promised that all who seek the Kingdom way will have all their temporal needs provided. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33; NASU)

Through this publication and the various other avenues that Yahweh has put at our disposal, we are seeking to bring the message of the coming kingdom of Yahweh to the attention of as many seekers as possible. This kingdom message was at the forefront of Yahshua’s ministry as He declared the good news and called for repentance. “Now after John had been taken into custody, Yahshua came into Galilee, preaching the good news of Yahweh, and saying, " The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of Yahweh is at hand; repent and believe in the good news." (Mark 1:14-15; NASU)

We seek to follow Yahshua’s example and proclaim the “GREAT” news that Yahweh’s kingdom is coming (and SOON!). Yahshua has told us, “…but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ' The kingdom of heaven is at hand’.” (Matthew 10:6-7; NASU)

It is the intention of this ministry to follow Yahshua’s command and do as the Apostles did by proclaiming this message to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. We will have much more to cover on this subject at the Feast of Tabernacles convocation.

  • New Moon. As this newsletter is being sent out, we have received no confirmed sightings of the new moon of the 6th month. We knew that this would be a difficult crescent to see in the northern hemisphere. If there are no confirmed reports then August 26 will probably be designated as new moon day. We will report the confirmed sightings on our website and in the next newsletter.

The seventh month (Feast of Trumpets) new moon should be visible on the evening of September 23, 2006. Weather permitting; this crescent should be visible in the western hemisphere. As always, we encourage all to look for this heavenly manifestation of Yahweh’s calendar and call in your report. The number is 888-FOR-YPTC.
  • Feasts of the 7th Month. It is difficult to believe, but it is less than 2 months until the Feast of Tabernacles. And yet, here we are!

We were all powerfully reminded of the importance of watching for the Feast of Trumpets new moon last year. As you may recall, there were very few who actually saw the crescent on the predicted evening. There was much debate among New Moon observers as we all waited for witness and confirmation to determine the proper day to begin the 7th month.

The elders of YPTC had determined that the calculations must have been accurate but we anxiously waited for the sign from Yahweh to confirm the date. As always, Almighty Yahweh did not fail. Before the end of the day, we received the confirmation that this was indeed the correct date. Many individuals and groups rejected this witness as unreliable even though they were well educated in new moon observation. Yahweh then provided additional witnesses to affirm His will.

We are convinced that this test was provided to compellingly remind us all of the need to diligently watch for the new moon each month. Again, watch for every new crescent but please make a special effort on the evening of September 23 and call into our offices ASAP with your report.
  • Feast of Tabernacles. As mentioned, FOT is fast approaching. If you have not already done so, contact Karl Bloodworth to discuss your reservation and deposit. Remember, do not make any payments directly to the campground. All payments should be made directly to YPTC, and more specifically to Karl. Remember to bring your games, bats, balls, gloves, and other outdoor equipment. If you are interested in assisting with youth activities, let us know.
  • Daily Devotional. We encourage each of you to visit our website regularly. It has recently been redesigned for the glory of Yahweh, and has a fresh look and new capabilities that we think you will enjoy. Among the changes is the addition of a daily Bible passage, which includes an encouraging, inspiring, and uplifting commentary. We provide this to help the reader start the day with Almighty Yahweh to guide his or her thoughts for the day ahead.
  • Kenya Update. All Praise to Yahweh! He continues to work and move in miraculous ways for the ministry and brethren in Kenya. The car recently purchased, made possible by the generous contributions of many of the brethren here, has been constantly on the move. Baptisms are now regular occurrences in areas previously out of reach. The ministers are able to make regular visits to the various local congregations, providing fellowship, encouragement, and instruction. We will provide a more detailed report in the next monthly newsletter. Until then, we thank and praise Yahweh for the blessings He is providing for our brothers and sisters in Kenya. (View pictures on the website).

Prayer Requests

Each month we receive requests from worshipers around the world asking for the brethren to join them in petitioning our Father Yahweh through our Redeemer Yahshua, for assistance in some matter. In some cases the petitioner is seriously ill and in need of healing. In other instances, comfort is needed after the loss of a loved one. In still other situations, assistance is required for temporal matters. Whatever the reason, these individuals and groups are asking for Yahweh, our Healer and Provider, to assist them.

You can submit your request for inclusion on the prayer list in several ways.

The News in Prophecy

And the War Rages On

If you have been following world news lately, you would have seen that Israel was locked in a fierce war with Lebanon’s Hezbollah to the north, and Gaza’s Hamas to the south. Israel sought to enter Lebanon and quickly defeat their enemies, but found that this is no longer a rag-tag group of militia men. They found a well organized and well funded military force. Iran and Syria both have admitted to funding and supplying these terrorists with weapons as well as training them to carry out terrorist acts against Israel. The offensive stretched into weeks of fighting with a number of deaths on both sides.

Several nations and individuals have accused Israel of abusing its power in this conflict. As of this writing, Israel has bowed to international pressure and has accepted a cease fire brokered in the UN, and is pulling back from Lebanon without having fulfilled its objective. Hezbollah continues to exist and has already started to re-arm and re-group. Other conditions vital to protecting Israel’s population are being reneged on by those who forced this issue and made promises to intervene. We must ask ourselves this question, “Will this war eventually lead to the final fulfillment of Luke 21:20? “And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.” (KJV)

Israel has insisted that a multi-national army be placed at the Lebanon/Israel border to keep a buffer zone of protection for Israel’s security. If implemented, it will put in place a force that could easily travel the few miles south to be at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. We must continue to watch these developments to attempt to determine where we stand in prophecy as Yahweh reveals.

At the present time, world events continue to indicate that the end of the world is near. However, a group in Texas has predicted that September 12, 2006, will begin the tribulation and that we must immediately prepare for nuclear war. There are many televangelists who are prophesying the end is at hand and the “rapture” will soon take place. (YPTC does not accept the rapture doctrine.) While we do believe that Yahshua is soon going to return, we will refrain from making any predictions as to when. Yahshua has told us: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Master does come… Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:42 & 25:13; KJV)

We are commanded to watch, be prepared, and not to worry about the exact day. The lesson for us as a humble, obedient people who are striving to live overcoming lives is that every action we take must be weighed by the fact that it could be our last. There are many things that must happen before Yahshua can return and while we are commanded to watch, our most important duty is our service to Yahweh and how we treat our fellow man. In doing this, we fulfill the two great commands as pointed out by Yahshua himself, "’The most important one,’ answered Yahshua, ‘is this: "Hear, O Israel, Yahweh is our Elohim, the Yahweh is one. Love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." The second is this: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no commandment greater than these.’" (Mark 12:29-31; NIV) By fulfilling these two great commands, we have the hope of life in Yahweh’s Kingdom, and we won’t have to worry about the destruction that is to come. Knowing the time is of NO value if we are not spiritually prepared according to the Word of Yahweh.

There is so much news to be reported throughout the world that this small newsletter cannot cover it all. We suggest that everyone who has access to the Internet make it a daily habit to visit www.arutzsheva.com to follow the news from the land of Israel. We were informed by a resident of Israel that, in his opinion, this is the most accurate source of current events available.

While we will report some of the obviously important highlights, it is not in our purpose to cover all, and others are in a much better position to accomplish this. Paul tells us, “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed — not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence — continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is Yahweh who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.” (Phil 2:12-13; NIV) So while we attempt to keep you informed of the big stuff, it is ultimately up to you to WATCH!

Blessings From Yahweh

Truly Almighty Yahweh looks after and helps His people. Even though we may face difficult times and various adversities, He is able to deliver us and turn all curses into blessings. We recall His promise to Abraham when He told him: “And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3; NASU)

As the physical, and more importantly, the spiritual seed of Abraham, we have received countless blessings because we follow his example and keep the way of Yahweh. That spiritual seed shall become a great nation when Yahweh’s Kingdom is established upon this earth. Yahweh has promised this to Abraham and He will fulfill His Word. "Since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of Yahweh by doing righteousness and justice, so that Yahweh may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him." (Genesis 18:18-19; NASU)

We can have even a better understanding of the significance of being the spiritual seed of Abraham when we consider Abraham’s faithful obedience to Yahweh’s commands. His faithfulness, proved through his actions, is a family trait that was passed to Isaac, to Jacob, and down through the ages, to all those who choose to be of their family. "I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws." (Genesis 26:4-5; NASU)

By choosing to live by Yahweh’s Torah, we develop the faith of Abraham within our lives and prove that faith through our good works. “But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ‘AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED YAHWEH, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS,’ and he was called the friend of Yahweh. You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.” (James 2:20-24; NASU)

By living our life this way we are blessed by Yahweh and we thank Him for all that He does for us both temporally and spiritually. This is the message expressed by King David in Psalm 103. “Bless Yahweh, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless Yahweh, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.” (Psalms 103:1-5; NASU)

As we draw nearer to Yahweh’s fall feast days, let us prepare ourselves as the spiritual seed of Abraham to praise and obey Yahweh and thus receive spiritual blessings from above. The eternal blessings of the Word of Yahweh are upon all those who are the spiritual descendants of Abraham through Yahshua the Messiah our Savior and Redeemer. As members of YPTC we seek to bring the Word of Yahweh to all those who wish to receive the message of salvation into their lives and who recognize the importance of obeying His covenant.

May Almighty Yahweh continue to bless His people and use us as He determines. Time may be very short, so we must be people of action who prayerfully take the initiative and do what needs to be done. We must not shirk our responsibility to prepare the way for Yahshua’s return to establish Yahweh’s Kingdom. “This good news of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14; NASU)

As Yahweh has blessed and allowed us to take His kingdom message to different parts of the world, we pray that He will continue to use this ministry to proclaim His Truth so that all may be fulfilled and Yahshua can return. We truly appreciate the help, support, and prayers of all our brethren in taking this message to the nations.

It is evident to all that Yahweh is moving in a very powerful way to fulfill the prophecies of His Word. Remember to pray diligently for Yahshua’s return.

Yahweh Bless His People Israel,

Your Brethren in Yahweh’s Truth
