[ May 2007 Newsletter ]

Shalom Brethren and Friends in Yahweh,

It is our great pleasure to once again bring you the good news of this ministry, proclaiming the message of truth and life as we anticipate the second coming of our Savior, Yahshua the Messiah.

With each passing day, we draw closer to the 2007 Feast of Weeks, Pentecost. This pilgrim feast is of special importance to all true worshipers, as we remember how Israel received Yahweh’s Covenant Law at Mount Sinai, and we also celebrate the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon the members of the Apostolic Congregation.

Traditionally, Israel’s exodus from Egypt and the receiving of the Torah are dated 1446 BCE, almost 3,500 years ago! Approximately 2,000 years later, Yahshua’s sacrifice for the sins of all men and His resurrection from the dead led to the giving of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. Both of these memorable occasions point toward the end of the age and the final fulfillment of the prophecies of Yahweh’s Word.

Yahweh’s Torah Law, through Yahshua as the Word of Yahweh made flesh, is the ONLY way spiritual Israelites may leave Egypt (sin) behind and return to Him. By remembering and obeying that Law, now written in our hearts, we may focus on the spiritual fulfillment of the Promised Land as the soon coming Kingdom! "For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze, says Yahweh of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing, says Yahweh of hosts. Remember the law of Moses My servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel. Behold, I am going to send you EliYah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of Yahweh. He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse." (Malachi 4:1-6; NASU)

As part of the Feast of Weeks celebration, we remember the giving of the Law from Mt. Sinai and the gift of the Holy Spirit to help us keep His commandments. These two important events dovetail and give the deep, spiritual meaning to Pentecost. "And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom Yahweh has given to those who obey Him." (Acts 5:32; NASU)

As we make our plans for this Holy convocation, let us prayerfully prepare our hearts to receive Yahweh’s Holy Spirit in greater measure to better keep His Torah. By applying these things now, we prepare ourselves for a future when we shall understand the fullness of Yahweh’s love and His plan for His children.

Progress in Kenya

Since purchasing an automobile for the Kenya ministry, a great deal of progress has been made, as the ministers there have been doing extensive traveling throughout the country, preaching the message of the coming Kingdom of Yahweh. Traveling in Kenya is many times more difficult there, as the roads are in such poor repair, and it can be very dangerous because of criminals who prey upon travelers. The brethren in Kenya greatly appreciate all the support they receive and are especially thankful to those who are contributing special offerings to help individuals with special or critical needs.

We have a responsibility to report the progress being made in Kenya to all who are participating with financial support and prayer. As the ministry has become better structured and basic organization has now been implemented, we will be receiving and posting more regular reports from the elders there. We hope that all who read these reports will be encouraged by the progress being made.

As has been previously reported, Kenya is a very poor country with many people unemployed. Those who do have jobs work for as little as ONE DOLLAR A DAY! And are thankful for that! Needles to say, because of the extreme poverty, the roads are a low priority and in such poor condition that the used vehicle we purchased just over a year ago is already "on its last legs." It would be safe to say that the great majority of the people Yahweh is calling in that country are not in the cities with the only maintained roads. Because they are in the far outlying areas, it is that much more difficult, time consuming, and expensive to visit and preach Yahweh’s Truth. The picture on the right was taken in the middle of a town. Please note that the main street of this town is dirt. This is what you find throughout Kenya. Our trip was long and slow, but when we arrived the people expressed genuine interest in learning the Word of Yahweh. This is what Almighty Yahweh has led the YPTC outreach to accomplish. It requires traveling long distances on poor roads and is taking a heavy toll on the YPTC car. (Not to mention the wear and tear on the elders who are holding up admirably, praise Yahweh!)

The car has pretty much served its useful life. As far as gas and mileage is concerned, it was a good choice. (You think gas is expensive HERE…!) But, as mentioned above, the bulk of the outreach is at the end of one rough road or another so we must turn our attention to finding a newer (used), more appropriate vehicle for the conditions. And so, if anyone is able to contribute towards a more dependable/appropriate vehicle for the ministry, it would be very much appreciated. As has always been our policy at YPTC, every penny contributed and directed to the Kenya ministry will be used there.

While I was there last summer, I went to several car lots and a good, used four wheel drive vehicle (which is what is needed) ran approximately $10,000.00 US. I realize this is a lot of money, but with maintenance costs due to rough conditions and the dangers of breaking down on un-patrolled roads, it is the appropriate amount to spend for a dependable vehicle. We recently heard of a group of ministers (from another outreach organization) who were robbed by thugs while traveling. While a better vehicle may not stop this from happening, it could help minimize the number of breakdowns and the associated dangers.

We are already planning another trip to Kenya just before the Feast of Tabernacles and, Yahweh willing, we would like to purchase the vehicle when we get there. As none of the brethren there are mechanics, nor have much experience in used vehicle purchasing, I would like to oversee the purchase while there to assure as dependable a vehicle as possible. Almighty Yahweh has blessed YPTC to have a very fruitful outreach in Kenya; let us all pray that He will increase its effectiveness to new heights (and safety). Please contribute as you are moved by the Holy Spirit.

We hope these Kenya updates will inspire all who read them and show how Almighty Yahweh is moving in miraculous ways in the lives of the wonderful people there, through His wonderful people here!!

Elder Karl Bloodworth

April 2007 - Report From Kenya

We are happy to report the success of Yahweh's Philadelphia Truth Congregations in Kenya, Africa. Since the first arrival of the YPTC representatives from the USA to Kenya in 2005, tremendous steps have been taken towards teaching people undiluted truths from the Scriptures.

We received Elders Karl Bloodworth and Tyrone Joyner in their first trip here with open arms because they are true ministers of Yahweh. But we believed them to be stewards of Yahweh’s truth. Therefore, we learned and unlearned many Bible lessons and principles through them and have put our efforts into teaching others who desire to listen and learn the better way. The importance of teaching sound doctrine and living a spiritual way of life is our most cherished assignment.

It is no wonder that many call and even physically travel over vast distances and difficult terrain to reach us and hear the glad tidings expounded more perfectly. We bear witness of what the prophet talked about when he said people will be staggering of hunger and thirst, not hungry for food but hungering and thirsting of the word of Yahweh. (Amos 8:11-14)

Many have come to believe because the foundations of our precious faith cannot be doubted unless one chooses to do so. Thus many are immersed. Around Nairobi six or more will be immersed at the end of March in anticipation of the Passover Memorial. Others will be baptized during the days of UB in other areas around our country.

We know and are grateful for the unconditional love that the brethren all over the world have for us. All funds donated towards Africa have enabled more and more to hear the whole truth. Without the generosity of the brethren in America and elsewhere we would not be able to travel and reach more and more areas in Kenya.

Some have given towards specific projects. There are some who were homeless and now have homes. There is a vehicle for evangelizing, and children who would otherwise be out of school are learning. We also need to mention that the lives of others have generally improved for the better. Thanks to all cheerful givers and may Yahweh bless you for your thoughtfulness and generosity.

Yahweh’s word declares all things work out for the good of them that love Him (Romans 8:28), and His will is not grievous (1 John 5:2-3). We keep all brethren in our thoughts and prayers daily and expect a good report of wonderful things to come for all who do His will.

We as believers are challenged by the circumstances and worldly surroundings we are a part of, including our personal friendships and relationships. All these things can hinder you from accomplishing the objective that Yahshua the Messiah our Savior has designated for you. Now the word hinder does not mean to stop but to slow you down and cause you to be delayed.

So wherever we are, let us all pull together and Yahweh will reward us with blessings in this world and life eternal too, Ephesians 1:3.

May Yahweh make his face shine on all who seek His Will.

YPTC, Kenya

Eyes on Israel—War Looms

As we continue to keep our eyes on the Holy Land, it would appear that the Arab world is becoming more and more aggressive in their pursuit of Israel and its land. It is evident from the following news article that Syria has ramped up its demand for the return of the Golan Heights. This area is so vitally strategic to Israel’s security that they would risk total annihilation if they give up any portion to the Syrians. Why does Israel always give up something, and receive nothing in return? They returned the Sinai and Gaza, and now the haters of the Jewish nation are demanding more, all under the false promise of peace. As with the U.S., the only way to have peace is through strength, not weakness.

The following quotes were taken from the Arutz Sheva news agency 4/18/07.

Syrian President Bashar Assad said Wednesday that Syria is ready for a war with Israel.

"Syria grows stronger every day," Assad told the Arabic Dar Al-Hayat daily, adding that Israel is a "bitter enemy." He also said that contacts between Syria and Israel take place about once a month, with no results, due to Israel’s refusal to unilaterally withdraw from the Golan Heights. "We do not know whether war will take place, but we should not disregard this possibility," Assad concluded.

Syrian Information Minister Mohsen Bilal said Sunday that, "If Israel rejects the Arab League peace proposal, resistance will be the only way to liberate the Golan Heights."

Israel has annexed the Golan Heights, the high ground overlooking northern Israel, after liberating it from Syria in 1967 during the Six Day War. More than 40,000 Israeli Jews now live in the Golan.

MK Israel Katz (Likud) slammed Olmert’s response to Assad’s war talk during the committee meeting. "You are mistaken to think that the Syrians are increasing their strength for self defense," he said, addressing the prime minister. "The Syrians are planning a terror attack in the Golan Heights in the summer and are building fortifications to prevent Israel from defending itself when the attack.

Syria Building Advanced Missile-Launch-Bunkers

The Christian Broadcasting Network has gone into further detail about Syria’s preparations for war. Missile expert Uzi Rubin describes what he terms "Syria’s Cape Canaveral," referring to the headquarters of the American NASA space agency.

One installation features Syrian missile launchers housed in more than 30 huge concrete bunkers surrounding an operations command center. "They learned the trick that even shorter-range missiles that are fired in salvos from multiple rocket launchers are very effective against Israel's civilian population," Rubin said.

Another military site includes a drive-through building were chemical warheads are stored. "The Scud D can hit any point in Israel from the furthermost point in Syria near the Iraqi border," Rubin says. "It was done specifically in order to have this range to hit every single point in Israel."

Deadly and Deceptive

In today’s "politically correct" world, where truth is oft-times distorted to promote an agenda, the liberal mainstream news media has promoted the deception that someone who straps explosives on themselves to blow up innocent people is a "suicide bomber." This effectively removes the crime as the focal point of their evil actions and allows for a level of "understanding" and "sympathy" to be interjected.

Webster’s New World Dictionary defines suicide as follows:

  1. the act of killing oneself intentionally
  2. adj. one who commits suicide.

According to the same dictionary the definition for murder is:

  1. the unlawful and malicious or premeditated killing of a person
  2. to kill (a person) unlawfully and with malice

Which one of the above definitions more correctly describes the intent? Obviously the more accurate description is that these satanic monsters are murderers first and foremost. The fact that the perpetrator of these crimes is killed in the act is just collateral damage, and all it really establishes is their cowardice. These murderers consider themselves to be martyrs, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Dictionary.com provides the following definitions for martyr: 1. a person who willingly suffers death rather than renounce his or her religion. 2. a person who is put to death or endures great suffering on behalf of any belief, principle, or cause….

Therefore a martyr is one who is killed by someone else for his/her faith not someone who decides to kill themselves and others.

Yahweh’s word speaks very plainly in Exodus 20:13. "You shall not murder." The world press organizations echo the propaganda of the false religious leaders by calling them suicide bombers rather than what they really are, HOMICIDE or MURDER BOMBERS or just plain "mass murderers," worthy of only contempt.

Under that thought process the killers in the tragedies at Duke or Luby’s in Texas would be "suicide shooters" rather than the mass murderers they are. Why should the murderers of Israeli men, women, and children be any different?

Those who have access to the internet should visit the following website dedicated to the memory of a seventeen year old Israeli boy named Asaf Zur who was murdered in 2003, when an assassin chose to blow up the bus in which he was riding. http://www.blondi.co.il/.

This young man’s father is still grieving the loss of his precious son, and is telling the world of the pain these murderers are bringing to the victim’s families. The web-site depicts the graphic violence these sick, deceived, monsters inflict on innocent people, so be forewarned.

After viewing this memorial, imagine someone you love being blasted to death by this perversion, and then have the world soft pedal the murderer’s action by labeling it a "suicide." What an incredible level of evil deception mankind is capable of!

So when we hear someone call those who commit these terrible acts of MURDER "suicide bombers," we must correct and inform them that they are HOMICIDE BOMBERS & MURDERERS to remove the glory they desire. The only reward these deranged perpetrators will receive is the lake of fire, which is reserved for Satan, his minions, and all those who violate Yahweh’s Torah by committing murder (Revelation 21:8).

Looking to the Future for Hope

As we anticipate the soon-coming Kingdom, we know that before Yahshua returns and takes control, there will be much tribulation in the world and in the lives of those who strive to obey Yahweh. We should never allow ourselves to become discouraged, as this time of trouble will give rise to the kingdom of peace, as Yahshua returns to reign over all the earth.

Let us keep hope alive within, and maintain an unshakable faith that will persevere during the trials to come, that we might receive the glorious Kingdom of Yahweh. "For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it." (Romans 8:22-25; NASU)

May Almighty Yahweh bless all of His people. We give special thanks to our Father in heaven for all who lovingly have a part in this end-time ministry.

Shalom to all our brethren and friends,

Your Brethren in Yahweh’s Truth
