Greetings Brethren and Friends in Yahshua,

It is a pleasure to once again report the progress of this ministry. Truly, Almighty Yahweh is moving mightily in these last days as the prophecy of His messenger (Malachi) is being fulfilled before our eyes. The message proclaimed by EliYah the prophet is once again turning people to Yahweh as the final judgment approaches. “Behold, I am going to send you Elijah [EliYah meaning ‘Yahweh is my Elohim’] the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of Yahweh. He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5-6; NASU)

The united membership of YPTC is doing all we can to make this prophecy a reality, as we diligently proclaim the covenant name of our Heavenly Father Yahweh and the saving name of His Son Yahshua. Almighty Yahweh has revealed many important truths that must be made available to others so they might find Yahweh’s salvation through Yahshua. His scattered sheep are being recovered through this message, and as such the prophecy of the return (through repentance) of His people is now taking place. “But from there you will seek Yahweh your Elohim, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have come upon you, in the latter days you will return Yahweh your Elohim and listen to His voice. For Yahweh your Elohim is a compassionate El; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them.” (Deuteronomy 4:29-31; NASU)

How remarkable that we may experience this great compassion of Yahweh for His people. As we have received this blessing from Yahweh through Yahshua, we must also have compassion for others by making these things known to them. This is the outward manifestation of love that we show for Yahweh and our neighbor as people of faith and obedience. (Mark 12:28-30 & James 2:14-26)

As the 2007 celebration of the Feast of Weeks is now past, we look forward to the feast days of the seventh scriptural month. These feast days point to the prophetic events which will occur when Yahshua returns and establishes the coming Kingdom of Yahweh upon this earth. Proper observance of these holy convocations will help prepare us for what is ahead. How glorious it will be when His kingdom is established, and the governments of this world become the governments of Yahweh through Yahshua the Messiah. At that time, Yahweh’s perfect Torah shall be the “law of the land.” As sincere seekers of truth, we strive to live by Yahweh’s Law now, and through our obedience we are able to know and draw closer to Yahweh and Yahshua.

The historical events which took place on the Feast of Weeks have deep spiritual meaning for us. On that day Israel ratified the covenant by declaring that they would obey all that Yahweh commanded them. “Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh. The people responded with one voice and said, 'All the words that Yahweh has spoken, we will do.' Moses wrote down all the words of Yahweh. He arose early in the morning and built an altar beneath the mountain, and also twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel. He sent youths of the Sons of Israel and they offered burnt-offerings, and sacrificed oxen as peace offerings to Yahweh. Moses ... then took the Book of the Covenant and read it in the ears of the people. They said, 'All that Yahweh has spoken, we will do and we will hear.'" (Exodus 24:3-7) The Sabbath before Pentecost they heard the voice of Yahweh declare the Ten Commandments. Their reaction was to move away from the mount and ask Moses to go and hear the law for them. This he did, and on the next day, the Feast of Weeks, he spoke the words of the covenant before them. Upon their agreement to obey, sacrifices were made and the blood used to seal the covenant was poured upon the altar and was sprinkled upon the people. Sadly, we know that they broke that promise which led them to defect from Yahweh’s truth and fall into sin.

We know from evidence presented in the book of Genesis that the Law of Yahweh existed before it was revealed to Moses at Mt. Sinai. The following commandments are just a few of the many that are referred to: Observance of the weekly Sabbath: Genesis 2:1-3; Differentiation between clean and unclean animals: Genesis 7:2 & 8:20; You shall not commit murder: Genesis 4; You shall not commit adultery: Genesis 39:7-9.

The most telling passage of scripture that proves the Law of Yahweh existed before Mt. Sinai is Genesis 26:4-5. There Yahweh tells Isaac, “I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws." (NASU)

What sets the revealing of the Law at Sinai apart is that Moses wrote it down and codified the Law into the Torah (in its original form) (Exodus 24:4). Torah is the foundation of the Hebrew Scriptures, and in the New Testament the Torah is indispensable to those who are seeking to repent from sin and learn the only way to righteousness that Yahweh has mandated, which comes through Yahshua the Messiah the Word made flesh. “What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET… So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.” (Romans 7:7 & 12; NASU)

The undeniable fact is that Torah is vital to our salvation. Obedience to it is one of the key factors in receiving and maintaining Yahweh’s Holy Spirit in our lives. "And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom Yahweh has given to those who obey Him." (Acts 5:32; NASU)

Those who received the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost were obedient to Yahshua by following His instructions to remain in Jerusalem until they received the promise of the Holy Spirit. They obeyed the Torah Law by observing the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) as commanded. Ironically, there are those who refer to themselves as Pentecostals, and yet they do not observe any of Yahweh’s Torah-commanded feast days (Leviticus 23), or even seek to keep the covenant of life which Yahweh makes with those who obey Him through love (Deuteronomy 30).

The events commemorated on the Feast of Weeks emphasize the importance of this day in preparing us for the end-times and the Kingdom of Yahweh which follows the tribulations. We therefore begin now to make preparations for the feast days of the coming seventh month, and ultimately the future government of Yahweh that Yahshua will establish upon this earth when He returns. Yahweh’s holy days are a reflection of the plan of salvation and the final fulfillment of prophecy.

These feasts reveal the plan of salvation and the establishment of Yahweh’s Kingdom on this earth. It is no wonder then that those who do not understand, not observe these commanded times, believe that they will go to heaven when Yahshua returns. This belief is based in paganism and is directly tied to the worldly holidays that counterfeit and obscure Yahweh’s truth! You can look as long and hard as you want to at the Bible, and you will never find a scripture that says that the kingdom is in heaven. The Kingdom of Yahweh is of, or FROM, heaven but is never described as being IN heaven. Consider the following scriptures:

“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.’” (Matthew 6:9-10; NASU)

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5; NIV)

“You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our Elohim; and they will reign upon the earth." (Revelation 5:10; NASU)

At Yahshua’s second coming, the first resurrection will take place and the saints will be caught up in the clouds to meet Him in the air, 1 Thessalonians 4: 1-18. (See also Revelation 20:11-15 for prophecy on the second resurrection.) “To meet” in the Greek text is apantesis. The Companion Bible has the following explanation for this word: “to meet= for the meeting (of two parties from opposite directions): i.e. the meeting and returning with.”

The scriptures also describe Yahshua returning with His elect (Matt. 24:29-31) and coming to the earth as a warring king who destroys the armies of the earth that oppose Him (Revelation 19:11-21). The reality is that the kingdom comes to this earth and that Yahshua will reign as its king, the prince of peace. Consider the following:

“Now it will come about that in the last days the mountain of the house of Yahweh will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the Elohim of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways, And that we may walk in His paths.’ For the law will go forth from Zion, And the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem. And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war.” (Isaiah 2:2-4; NASU)

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty El, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness, From then on and forevermore. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will accomplish this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7; NASU)

It is obvious from these scriptures that when Yahshua returns He will establish Yahweh’s Kingdom on this earth, and will reign over all the nations along with His obedient servants. At that time, Yahweh’s perfect government (Torah) will be established for all people. He will abolish all pagan observances such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and New Year (in the dead of winter). Instead, the people will be taught and observe Yahweh’s feast days, and will go up each year to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. “Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths [Tabernacles].” (Zechariah 14:16; NASU)

As we begin now to prepare ourselves for the coming feast days of the seventh month, let us also prepare for the coming Kingdom of Yahweh. We must return to Him and learn His ways. He is merciful and will forgive us as we repent and strive to perfect ourselves according to His will.

The membership of YPTC stands ready to aid all sincere seekers of the Truth who are being called to service by Yahweh. Although we are small in size and limited in resources, we know that there is no limit to what can be accomplished with faith and trust in Yahweh (Romans 8:31). Therefore, as our name indicates, we seek to emulate the Philadelphia congregation of Revelation chapter 3. “I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie — I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you. Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” (Revelation 3:8-10; NASU)

May Almighty Yahweh, bless and protect all those who seek to return to Him in these last days.

Kenya Report

Shalom Brothers and Sisters,

I pray you are all doing well. We thank Almighty Yahweh that we have no bad news to report.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Psalms and Selected Scriptures (PASS) and the calendars. We expect to receive them any day now.

I have been traveling all over western Kenya since late last week. I first went to Nakuru and met with some interested people there. I then traveled to Eldoret and spent the night with a group of people who are also seeking the way of truth. On the morning of Friday I traveled to Nandi Hills/Kapsabet. Plans are underway to rent a hall there specifically for our use on the Sabbath and Holy Days. I promised the brethren there we will assist with some rent for maybe the first few months. We continually depend on the support from the brethren in America.

I then traveled to Koru where we opened the Sabbath with faithful brethren. We had a wonderful time expounding the Scriptures and especially studying the pre-existence of Yahshua and the Messianic prophecies. The reason for this was to equip the brethren to counter those who oppose our Savior and have crept into the Koru area. I have never seen anything like it here. The men are attending services with their hats on. They are talking bad about Yahshua and as far as I can judge, this is a great falling away among people who do not know the true way.

On Sabbath after a few hours with the brethren, I traveled to Kisii. There is a lot of change there, not only in the Congregation but also with one of the key brethren there. Mumira and Moses did a much better job than I thought they would be able to do in preaching the word. The names of pagan deities have been completely removed from the brethren, including older people and young children. The services are well attended by the faithful as well as some new comers.

When we traveled to Kisii with Brother Karl, at the location where we baptized two men and one woman there is a large increase in membership. There is one man especially we need to pray for because he thought we were with another group that is not fully in the Truth. But upon hearing the word being taught, he is now traveling from Kisumu, where he makes an effort every Sabbath to attend services. I pray Yahweh will sustain Him in the faith as well as the others.

I read the May newsletter and think very highly of it. Thank you very much for taking time to correct the grammatical mistakes that I make. We are also praying that Yahweh will provide the finances for the vehicle since the going is getting tougher. Please ask the brethren in America to continue to help us with the finances since we totally depend on them. Also thank them for all they have given so far. Yahweh provides but it is the brethren who give.

I have made copies of the new article 'A Pure Language' and am giving them out for the people to read.

At the end of the month, I am prepared to travel to two new locations a far distance from Kisii. There are contacts who have been calling from Kuria and Masaai-land asking us to please come and show them the truth. I have pledged to go and I have to keep the promise. Please pray about the matter and ask Yahweh to provide a successful journey.

Closer to where we are located, we have six new faithfuls at a location called Mai-Mahiu, which in the Kikuyu language means, hot water springs. Soon we are going to rent a place for them to hold services on the Sabbath and Feast Days

Please pray that Yahweh will be with us as we continue to labor in His Vineyard.

Yahweh bless you all,

Peter and the Elders in Kenya

“…so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Messiah, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:25-27; NIV)
  • Ministerial Meeting:
The ministers of YPTC are planning our annual meeting sometime this year. We will discuss a wide range of topics intended to assist us all in our efforts to be better servants of Yahweh and our brethren. Look for updates in future newsletters.
  • Pray For Those in Need:
As brethren in the family of Yahweh, it is important for us to bear each other’s burdens and pray for one another. Love is at the root of our faith. That love must be directed in such a way so that we can fulfill the two great commandments, on which hang all the law and the prophets. We especially pray for those we love. Almighty Yahweh encourages us throughout His Word to pray.

Eyes on Israel

With each passing day, we draw closer to the second coming of our Savior Yahshua the Messiah. Our eyes are firmly fastened upon the prize of Yahweh’s Kingdom, as we look toward the Land of Israel for understanding prophecy. The words of our Savior give us insight into what we should be looking for. “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things (See Matthew 24:1-31), you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” (Matthew 24:32-35; NIV)

More and more, the signs point toward the completion of Daniel 12:11. “From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.” (NASU)

In order for this prophecy to be fulfilled, the morning and evening sacrifices must be reinstituted. This would require the religious Jews of Israel to somehow gain control of at least part of the Temple Mount, and, at the very least, place an altar on which the regular daily sacrifices may be offered. Based on history, this could potentially cause Moslems world-wide to react violently, which could rapidly escalate to bring the balance of prophecy to pass.

On Monday, May 14, 2007, Israel National News (Arutz Sheva) published an interesting article under the headline, “Rabbis Call for Temple Mount Visits.” The rabbis referred to in this article are religious-Zionists. Thirty of them went through the Halakhic ritual cleansing which involves immersion in a mikveh (ritual bath), removing their shoes, and avoiding the areas designated as holy and forbidden. These religions leaders are determined to once again make the Temple Mount a place of worship for Jews.

This was the first time that such a large group of rabbis visited the Temple Mount. The following quote is an excerpt from the Arutz Sheva article: “Rabbi Shilo, asked to explain the timing of the visit, told Arutz-7, ‘For one thing, Jerusalem Reunification Day is approaching. In addition, our hold on the Temple Mount is not yet strong among many people of Torah and others, because of halakhic [Jewish-legal] obstructions that we feel are no longer relevant.’ Biblical law forbids one from entering the holy areas of the Temple Mount, and some feel that the precise boundaries of those areas are not known. However, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel of the Temple Institute has shown that the rock under the Dome of the Rock is in fact the Holy of Holies, and most scholars agree.”

Could this be the catalyst that brings about the fulfillment of Daniel 12:11? We MUST ALL be diligent in watching the Land of Israel to determine Yahweh’s prophetic timetable.

All who read this newsletter should understand the importance of these events so as to be prepared for what is ahead.

Almighty Yahweh promised in His Holy Word that He will protect His people in times of adversity (Psalm 91). He WILL reveal to His dedicated servants the correct interpretation of the end-time prophecies. “Surely Sovereign Yahweh does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7; NASU)

It is our hope and prayer that Yahweh continues to bless this ministry and all who diligently and prayerfully support it. May we all continue to express our deep love for Yahweh and Yahshua and our neighbor as these end times unfold.
