[ May/June 2008 Newsletter ]

Shalom Brethren and Friends in Yahshua,

We greet you all in the Great Name of Yahweh our Heavenly Father. It is always a pleasure and a blessing to report the progress of this ministry. Even when we are tried on every side, we can rejoice over the difficulties we overcome. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” (James 1:2-5; NKJV)

We apologize for the lateness in sending out this newsletter. The last several months have been extremely trying. With all that is going on, it certainly appears that Satan has come down upon us with great wrath, Revelation 12:9-12.

By now, you have received word of the passing of our dear brother and elder, Tyrone Joyner. After six months of fighting for his survival the time came for him to give back the breath of life to Yahweh and be at rest. He waits like a seed planted in the ground, ready to spring back to life when our Savior returns to establish Yahweh’s Kingdom. Many a tear was shed at his passing. Even now we feel a great loss. We must keep the faith and look to Yahshua to show us why this had to happen to this man who we all love so dearly.

Included with this news letter is a brief Memorial to our brother and friend. Let us take comfort in having known him and let those good memories continually be with us as we, the living, carry on with his efforts and with the efforts made by other faithful brethren. We must continue on in the Faith just like Tyrone, even to the end, so that we might receive the gift of life. Condolences can be sent to the Joyner Family in care of the YPTC mailing address:

The Feast of Weeks

The Feast of Weeks is quickly approaching. June 15, 2008 is Pentecost day. That is when our count of the seven weekly Sabbaths, plus 1 day will bring us to this special feast day. The count began on the day after the wave sheaf offering during the Fest of Unleavened Bread, and it ends on the 50th day (Leviticus 23:9-16). This feast is always celebrated the 7th day of the week (Sunday). In Judaism, they begin their count after the 1st high day of Unleavened Bread. From the days of the Sadducees and Pharisees, before the destruction of the Temple, the Jewish rabbis have argued about when to begin this count. Without having accepted Yahshua as the first, of the first fruits from the grave, they lack information that proves Yahshua to be the Messiah.

It should be remembered by all who accept Yahshua as their spiritual wave sheaf offering that to follow the Jewish method of counting is to deny that Yahshua is the Messiah. It is impossible to accept the sign of Yahshua’s Messiahship (the three days and three nights in the grave, Matthew 12:38-40) unless you understand that Yahshua was resurrected on the weekly Sabbath just before sundown (Matt. 28:1-23), and then presented Himself to Yahweh as our spiritual wave sheaf. This could only occur if the count began on the day after the weekly Sabbath. You can see this same pattern of sevens in conjunction with the Sabbatical years and the year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25 & Deut. 15).

YPTC will be holding Pentecost services in locations in the US, Trinidad, WI, Kenya Africa, and the UK. If you need any information please contact us at our toll free Number 1-888-FOR-YPTC or on the Web at www.Yahstruth.org.

The Bush Scroll

Along with newsletter you will also find 8 pages of material on the Bush Scroll. The scroll pictured in this information was given to President Bush on January 9, 2008 when he was visiting Israel. This could possibly be a momentous document, on the same level as those given by the prophets of old.

The scroll describes blessings for Bush and the US for protecting Israel and staying out of its affairs. And, it pronounces a curse upon Bush and the US if he continues to meddle in Israeli affairs and “trade land for peace.” Read this document and be ready for what it could bring.

You can view the Bush Scroll in our reference section.

The latest Truman story is entitled "Mercy Trimuphs over Judgment Pt 2", and is published online in the Kids section.

A Memorial to a Man of Yahweh

Tyrone Barry Joyner
June 14, 1951 — April 14, 2008

Our lives are but a vapor which comes and goes. The meaningfulness of a person’s life is not measured in years, but rather by the effect on those around them. This is especially true of those who influence us in a positive way. Tyrone Barry Joyner was such a person. He was a man who lived his life according to the precept of Micah 6:8, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does Yahweh require of you but to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your Elohim?” (NKJV)

Tyrone, or TJ, as he was known to most of his close friends, was the son of Leon M. and Magnolia Joyner. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, it was there that he received his primary and secondary educations. Because he was an excellent student and a gifted athlete, he then furthered his education at the University of Maryland, graduating in 1973 with a BS in Sociology. In conjunction with his degree, he had a minor in French. In order to put his knowledge of the French language into practice, and to help people in Third World Nations, he joined the Peace Corps. He was sent to Niger, West Africa, where he served for several months. After his return he met and fell in love with Debbie Brooks, the future Mrs. Joyner.

It was during this time that he began to learn the truth of Yahweh’s Word. Tyrone’s cousin, Robert Greg Davis, for several years had been learning the truth about Yahweh and His covenant. He, and two baptized believers in the Baltimore area, presented Tyrone with the true message of the Good News and the coming Kingdom of Yahweh. He looked into these teachings, thinking that he could refute them. Instead, he ended up proving these things to himself.

The more he studied, the more he wanted to learn. Being a man of action, it didn’t take him long to decide to commit his life to Yahweh. He and Debbie were both immersed into Yahshua’s Name just prior to Passover in 1981. Never did he realize how much this act would affect his life. Tyrone was so passionate about learning more Truth, that in 1985 he and Debbie moved to Pennsylvania so that he could attend Obadiah School of the Bible. He excelled as a student, but much more than that, he showed himself to be a very dedicated man with a special ability to communicate with others. He was gifted with the ability of being able to reach out to others with the Truth. He was friendly to everyone in a sincere and concerned way. Before and after his graduation in 1989, he willingly helped in putting forth the Good News to many people. Among the many ways he ministered the Truth to others around the world are the following accomplishments. He spent several years as a printer, publishing a monthly magazine and numerous articles. He worked in the letter answering department, answering letters from around the world. He worked the night shift at a short wave radio station that was airing sermons. But first and foremost, he traveled to various locations around the U.S. and throughout the Caribbean and in South America, holding meetings and serving Yahweh and the brethren. For 25 years he ministered to true believers, especially in the West Indies and South America.

In 2004 Tyrone was one of the main leaders that came forth through the continuance of Truth, to follow Yahweh’s leading and establishment of YPTC. He had great compassion for brethren like himself who had been spiritually abused by corrupt leaders. He helped to create YPTC as a place of refuge for those who had suffered.

As one of the main organizers of YPTC, Tyrone was the organizational president from the beginning until his death. He served in this office as no one else could. He led the council of elders as a great communicator, counselor to his fellow elders, and as a diplomat of the Kingdom of Yahweh. He had an ability to bring people together for a common purpose and goal.

Tyrone was very dynamic. With his broad sparkling smile and a soft sincere demeanor, he was instrumental in bringing literally hundreds of people to the Truth. His preaching ability was superb. He communicated to the listener using stories and funny anecdotes. He was able to relate to the listener in a personal way. He knew how to hold the congregation’s interest, and he presented the Truth in a very understandable way.

He was a very spiritual person who loved Yahweh and Yahshua with all his heart. He stated on many occasions to a fellow elder and friend that all he ever wanted to do was to serve Yahweh to the fullest. With all that he had accomplished for Yahweh and His people, there were still times when this man of faith and character would lament that he needed to do more. His desire to always do more is a testimonial to this humble servant and son of Yahweh our King and Father.

Even though his life was cut short by his untimely death, Tyrone accomplished more in his lifetime than most people who live much longer. The foundation he helped lay, and the acts of love that he performed, will always be there as an encouragement for each of us. We must work together to finish those things which Tyrone started and let YPTC fulfill its purpose in these last days before our Savior returns.

Without question, Tyrone Joyner, our friend and brother, was truly a “Man of Yahweh.” It was an honor and a privilege to know and love him. No matter what may come, his legacy shall continue on into the Kingdom of Yahweh. All those who are faithful, like Tyrone, will receive a part in that kingdom that is soon to come. And so, may we take the memory of our brother, and friend, with us as we continue to walk the path that leads to life.
