Greetings Brethren, I hope this letter finds you all in a spirit of joy. Our savior Yahshua compels us to love one another and by this we know that we are His disciples. Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of Yahshua our master. It is our desire to walk in truth with the savior everyday in our journey to the kingdom. We hope Yahshua keeps your hearts filled with the love of the father.

This article is being written on the 1st day of Hanukah 2010 the Festival of Lights. Yahshua said in John 12:35-36 “yet a little while is the light among you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness over take you not: and he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes. While you have the light, that you may become sons of light.” We seek earnestly to be sons of light by keeping the commandments given to us by our heavenly father. During this time of darkness as we approach the winter solstice we all desire more light since the days seem shorter because of the darkness. The people of the world use artificial lights to brighten their lives during this time but the people of Yahweh the sons of light have the light of Yahshua shinning brightly in our hearts. In John chapter 1 we read, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Elo him.  2 The same was in the beginning with Yahweh. 3 All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that has been made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not. 6 There came a man, sent from Yahweh, whose name was John. 7 The same came for witness, that he might bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came that he might bear witness of the light. 9 There was the true light, even the light which lights every man, coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of Yahweh, even to them that believe on his name.” We believe on His name therefore we have the right to be called the sons of light.

Yahshua came to the Jewish people but they rejected the light of Yahshua and chose the traditions of their elders over the Gift of Yahweh. Yahshua did not come to start a new religion as many Christians believe but he was a reformer trying to turn the hearts of the people back to Yahweh. In Matt. 23:1-3 Yahshua told the people: 1 Then spoke Yahshua to the multitudes and to his disciples, 2 saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses seat: 3 all things therefore whatsoever they bid you, these do and observe: but do not you after their works; for they say, and do not.The scribes and the Pharisees did teach the keeping of the Law of Moses but it was their traditions that Yahshua had a problem with they had placed the Talmud or added law above the Law of Yahweh. In Matt. 5:14-20 we see Yahshua teaching us that we are the light of the world. 14 ”You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shines unto all that are in the house. 16 Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. 17 Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For verily I say unto you, until heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.”Most Christians have been taught that they need not keep the commandments of Almighty Yahweh but that they have been done away with, but we see from these scriptures quoted by Yahshua that this is just not true.

What kind of good works is Yahshua speaking of in Matt. 5:16? It seems if we continue with the context of the passage He is speaking of keeping the commandments. In verse 19b it reads: “but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Brethren we must be like Yahshua teaching the world the right things of this life. How to love your brother, how to love your neighbor and how to love your enemies, most people do not know that they oppose themselves. The sons of light love their father in heaven and have received of Him a great inheritance. In Deut. 32:4-9we read: 4 ”He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful El who does no wrong, upright and just is he. 5 They are corrupt and not his children; to their shame they are a warped and crooked generation. 6 Is this the way you repay Yahweh, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you? 7 Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you.8 When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel. 9 For Yahweh’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance.”If Yahweh is your father how can we walk in sin brethren? Almighty Yahweh has bought us, his children with a price a very costly price the blood of our savior, Yahshua. He wants the whole world to be saved brethren. As the sons of light we must emulate the true light Yahshua the Messiah by being good examples to our brother, neighbor and enemy. Then they can see that the sons of light walk in the commandments of Yahweh and not in the darkness, as does the world.

As we saw in Deut. 32:9 Yahweh’s inheritance is his people and he wants all the people of the world to be saved. That’s why he sent Yahshua to the earth to save us from or sins. The leadership of the Jewish people said that Yahshua was a blasphemer because he said he was the son of Yahweh. In Matt. 26:62-65 we read:  62 What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 63 But Yahshua Then the high priest stood up and said to Yahshua, “Are you not going to answer? remained silent. The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living Elohim: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of Elohim.” 64 “You have said so,” Yahshua replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.” 65 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. In the scriptures of old the high priest obviously forgot about Ps.82 whichstates: “1 Elohim presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the “elohim”: 2 “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? 3 Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. 5 “The ‘elohim’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. 6 “I said, ‘You are “elohim”; you are all sons of the Most High.’ 7 But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.” 8 Rise up, O Elohim, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.” We are called the sons of Yahweh, then we aught to claim it brethren and live up to that high calling by being faithful in all things. We must be examples to the world by the lives we lead walking after the spirit and not the flesh. In Eph. 5:1-14 we see instructions to imitate Almighty Yahweh as beloved children. 1”Follow Yahweh’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Messiah loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to Yahweh. 3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for Yahweh’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah and Yahweh. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things Yahweh’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in Yahweh. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases Yahweh. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.”

We were once in darkness brethren and asleep in sin but Almighty Yahweh has called us the sons of light to illuminate this world. Since we have been commanded to live as children of light and find out what pleases Yahweh. We have a short time before the day of Yahweh appears so it is so important that the sons of light reveal themselves to the world. Our mission is to preach this message in these last days and to touch hearts of the sons of light to come. In conclusion in 1Thess. 5:1-11 we read: 1 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of Yahweh will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”So then my beloved brethren our salvation is nearer than when we first believed as sons of light let your light shine so that people will glorify your father in heaven and praise the name of Yahweh

The History of Hanukkah

Hanukkah is celebrated for eight days and nights, starting on the 25th of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar (which is November-December on the Gregorian calendar). In Hebrew, the word "Hanukkah" means "dedication."

The holiday commemorates the rededication of the holy Temple in Jerusalem after the Jews' 165 B.C.E. victory over the Hellenist Syrians. Antiochus, the Greek King of Syria, outlawed Jewish rituals and ordered the Jews to worship Greek gods.

In 168 B.C.E. the Jews' holy Temple was seized and dedicated to the worship of Zeus.

Some Jews were afraid of the Greek soldiers and obeyed them, but most were angry and decided to fight back.

The fighting began in Modiin, a village not far from Jerusalem. A Greek officer and soldiers assembled the villagers, asking them to bow to an idol and eat the flesh of a pig, activities forbidden to Jews. The officer asked Mattathias, a Jewish High Priest, to take part in the ceremony. He refused, and another villager stepped forward and offered to do it instead. Mattathias became outraged, took out his sword and killed the man, then killed the officer. His five sons and the other villagers then attacked and killed the soldiers. Mattathias' family went into hiding in the nearby mountains, where many other Jews who wanted to fight the Greeks joined them. They attacked the Greek soldiers whenever possible.

Judah Maccabee and his soldiers went to the holy Temple, and were saddened that many things were missing or broken, including the golden menorah. They cleaned and repaired the Temple, and when they were finished, they decided to have a big dedication ceremony. For the celebration, the Maccabees wanted to light the menorah. They looked everywhere for oil, and found a small flask that contained only enough oil to light the menorah for one day. Miraculously, the oil lasted for eight days. This gave them enough time to obtain new oil to keep the menorah lit. Today Jews celebrate Hanukkah for eight days by lighting candles in a menorah every night, thus commemorating the eight-day miracle. Taken from www.history.com

As we enter the pagan season we must prepare ourselves to show even more love to our pagan neighbors who are still in darkness. We must remember that we too where at one time in their position. Yahweh has led us into his light of truth and we must be a good example of what a true worshiper should be. We should be sharing the hope that is within us in a positive manner so that our neighbors will glorify Yahweh’s Holy name.

Yahshua was in the Temple during Hanukkah according to John 10:22 and he was dealing with the Pharisees concerning his Messiahship. Yahshua told them that He is the good shepherd and his sheep know who he is. He told them that he lays down his life for his sheep. The lessons of Hanukkah are very clear; the stranger who tries to take away Yahweh’s servants into idolatry will fail because Yahweh’s servants know their savior.  The Greeks tried and failed to Helenize the spiritual Jews and Satan tried and will fail in trying to take us away from Yahshua the Messiah. Be very strong in your faith in a positive manner brethren giving glory to Almighty Yahweh every day for our Savior Yahshua. Read John chapter 10 in its entirety in light of the Maccabees story. Remember that Hanukkah commemorates the victory of the Maccabees over the Syrians in 165B.C.E. So for the 8 days of this years celebration let us think of Yahshua’s victory over Satan giving glory to Almighty Yahweh for remembering us.

Eyes on Israel

Luke 21:20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near.   NASU

For those who choose to keep up with the world news through conservative news sources, you should realize that with the shift from support for Israel to support for the Muslims the end is near.  While America has never really supported Israel to the point where they say, “all land belongs to Israel and no one else”, they have at least helped Israel finance much of its infrastructure.  However that is changing with the new administration here in America.  More and more pressure is being placed on Israel to give away all land captured in the 1967 war as well as the Golan Heights.  Much of that pressure is coming from America.  Almost daily we read of some dignitary from America reprimanding the Israelis’ for something.  This should be showing all who are thinking clearly that the scripture quoted above will soon be fulfilled.  Soon the armies of the world will soon surround Jerusalem in order to force the division of that city.  The Arabs claim east Jerusalem as their capitol.  Should this be allowed, and then the Temple Mount will be lost since it is located there.  This cannot happen since we know that it is prophesied that a third Temple will be built in the last days.  Therefore a battle will ensue.  All the Arab countries are crying out for Israel to give away more land.  Israel, one of the smallest countries in the Middle East and they are being told to give away land?  Something is seriously wrong here.  All clear thinking people know that it will never be enough until Israel no longer exist.  The hatred that the descendants’ of Esau have toward Jacob is still evident today.  Egypt is now demanding that Israel give away more land.  The nation that Yahweh destroyed before the Israelis’ were originally delivered. --

Will Israel Attack Iran By Christmas?

28 Nov 2010 02:57 pm

To me, the most revealing parts of the Wikileaks diplo-docu-dump are about the Middle East. We already knew that the Sunni Arab autocrats cannot bear the thought of a Shiite nuclear bomb and are almost as worried as the Israelis. But now the evidentiary proof brings it home:

The Saudi king was recorded as having "frequently exhorted the US to attack Iran to put an end to its nuclear weapons programme", one cable stated. "He told you [Americans] to cut off the head of the snake," the Saudi ambassador to Washington, Adel al-Jubeir said, according to a report on Abdullah's meeting with the US general David Petraeus in April 2008.

The cables also highlight Israel's anxiety to preserve its regional nuclear monopoly, its readiness to go it alone against Iran – and its unstinting attempts to influence American policy. The defence minister, Ehud Barak, estimated in June 2009 that there was a window of "between six and 18 months from now in which stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons might still be viable". After that, Barak said, "any military solution would result in unacceptable collateral damage."

Officials in Jordan and Bahrain have openly called for Iran's nuclear programme to be stopped by any means, including military. Leaders in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt referred to Iran as "evil", an "existential threat" and a power that "is going to take us to war".

If we take Barak's word for it, the Israelis could launch World War III within a month. And would carry much of the Sunni Arab autocrats with it. One notes that Saudi foreign diplomats and functionaries are more wary about war with Iran than the royals. But there seems little discussion about the momentous consequences of a third war launched by the West against a Muslim country in less than a decade.

The machine is being put into place to surround Jerusalem with all the armies of the world in order to force the Israelis’ to divide Jerusalem.  When that happens then we will truly know the end is near.  Let us all keep our eyes on the horizon and watch the coming of our Savior Yahshua the Messiah, HalleluYAH!

Each month we pray for those who have a petition before Almighty Yahweh, so this month we want to remember the following people:

News, Notes & Notables

Looking Ahead to the Next New Moon: The new moon for the 11th scriptural month should be visible the evening of Tuesday January 4, 2011. So watch.

In Genesis 1:14-18 we see the significance of the heavenly bodies.  “Then Elohim said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth;’ and it was so. Then Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. Elohim set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And Elohim saw that it was good.” (NKJV)

Be sure to look for this new moon and report your findings to us by calling 717-383-6975.

We are commanded to pray for the sick among us in James 5:13-15 13 “Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of Yahweh: 15 and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and Yahweh shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Let us pray for these people who have a petition before Almighty Yahweh.
